About Ashmore Carpets

Since our inception in 1983, Ashmore Carpets has continued to grow and become one of the Gold Coast’s leading carpet and flooring retailers. Home to a large collection of carpets, engineered timber flooring, bamboo flooring, hybrid and laminate flooring.

Located in Bundall, in the heart of the Gold Coast, we offer a full service approach from flooring selection right through to installation to the entire South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales region.

Our specialised approach and partnerships with the industry’s leading flooring manufacturers allow us to provide you with an extensive selection of flooring options. We offer both Australian made and international flooring products from a wide variety of manufacturers.

We ask the right questions, so you get the most out of your new flooring. We strategically place the seams and joins of the flooring, so they are in the least noticeable area to provide the most aesthetically pleasing option. Our flooring recommendation for your residential home is to select something hard wearing yet comfortable that will grow with you and your family for many years to come. Due to Aaron’s time as an installer, he has become somewhat of a perfectionist and will ensure your flooring is laid in the same way he would like it to be installed in his own home.

Our Story is a true family affair

Founded by Donna and Alan Weatherall, Ashmore Carpets has been a family owned and operated business on the Gold Coast for nearly 40 years. During this time, the company has expanded from a small startup to fast becoming a thriving company with more than six employees. Donna and Alan decided it was time to pass the torch on to another family and recently sold the business to husband and wife duo, Aaron and Kirra Russell in 2021.

Donna and Alan remained at Ashmore Carpets for the remainder of the year, ensuring their local knowledge and relationships remained at the core of the business. Both Kirra and Aaron come to Ashmore Carpets with a wealth of knowledge and experience, having owned and operated another flooring company in Newcastle, New South Wales. Aaron began his career as a flooring installer 27 years ago and had only recently decided to step away and focus his attention on the business. Today you will likely see Aaron when he comes to measure and quote your new flooring or oversee your installation.
